Dr. Sorapop Kiatpongsan

Visiting Professor, Sasin School of Management

Sorapop is a physician-scientist who believes in the power of technology and innovation in transforming how people live, learn, work and play, and that full potentials of innovation can be realized through strategic initiatives and partnership. His expertise is in medicine, life sciences & health with experience in strategy, research & development, innovation & entrepreneurship, public policy, consulting, fundraising, ecosystem-building and partnership-building across sectors at national and international levels.

Sorapop is a Visiting Professor at Sasin School of Management in Bangkok, Thailand and Health and Public Sector Lead at Accenture. He serves as advisors, board members and committee members for companies, startups, government agencies, and international professional and research organizations. He was formerly the Assistant President for Research and Innovation at Chulalongkorn University, the Managing Director at Institute of Public Policy and Development, and the Director of Innovation Ventures at Bumrungrad International Hospital.

 His research has been featured in various media and outlets such as Harvard Business Review, The Washington Post, The Huffington Post, The Economist, TED.com, Fortune.com, Inc.com, Fast Company, the Asia Pacific Initiative on Reproduction and The State of World Population (United Nations Population Fund). Sorapop received Doctor of Medicine (first class honors) from Chulalongkorn University and Ph.D. from Harvard University. He was a postdoctoral fellow in Science, Technology and Innovation Policy at Harvard Kennedy School.
